We are looking for a goal-oriented and process-driven person to join our Engineering department as a NPI Project Lead.

The project Lead will be leading all aspects of the operations activities related to new product introduction / design transfer projects.

 

This position represents Operations on new product introduction projects and provide leadership to a core project team comprised of individuals from Manufacturing engineering, Supply Chain Planning & Sourcing, Contract Manufacturers managers, quality and other functions as needed to drive successful commercialization of new products.

 

What will you do?

  •   Lead one or more design transfer projects from the prototype phase through mass production at a local or overseas contract manufacturer.
  •   Set an overall Operational NPI plan, Set Ops KPIs, Track and follow project progress, manage risk, and report accordingly.
  •   Ensure that the voice of operations is properly captured by the Program Management
  •  Responsible for ensuring the Design for Manufacturing guidelines are well implemented in the product design and validate implementation impact on product quality.
  •   Drive on-time procurement and ensure material readiness for pre-production and NPI builds in close collaboration with the supply chain team    Build product cost reduction (CR) road map – Provide technical opportunities for CR, lead the CR program from the idea stage through qualification till implementation, work closely with purchasing department to find and qualify new parts.

 

 

 


What should you have?

  •       BSc degree in Mechanical or Industrial engineering- mandatory.
  •       3-5 years of proven experience in the engineering/ R&D environment.
  •       Proven experience in leading NPI activities and product transfer to production in a High-tech environment ( Jigs; Testers; documentation; knowledge transfer; )
  •        Proven experience and knowledge in the field of manufacturing technologies (Machining, Sheet metal, Casting, extrusion) – Must!
  •        Experience in cost reduction technology activities – plastic molding, extrusion, casting etc.- Must!
  •        Previous experience in leading DF’x methodology
  •        Project management skills, ability to work and manage activities in matrix structure.
  •        Familiar with printing industry or other multidisciplinary systems – an advantage
  •        Excellent interpersonal skills, high motivation, ability to work under pressure
  •        High skills in Hebrew and English, speaking and writing
  •        Experience in CAD software – Solid Works- an advantage
  • Experience in PDM/ EDM tools – Priority - an advantage
