Main areas of responsibility:

We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead production transition and all commercial aspects. The program manager will be the point person for establishing the methods, process and execution enabling smooth product transition and deployment while ensuring product quality. This position requires close collaboration and coordination with many different teams within the Operations organization. A positive and collaborative attitude, as well as strong project management, time management, organization, and communication skills, are musts. The position requires extensive business trips (~25%) 

 What will you do?

  •  Lead cross-organizational product team (Engineering, SC, quality) to ensure smooth product transition and establish a new production line to meet Kornit’s standard.
  •  Responsible for planning and overseeing the transfer of key knowledge necessary for production, manufacturing, and sourcing of Kornit’s products deployed into production. This includes operational readiness, production documentation, and acceptance procedures
  •  Build and track an overall plan in which the required knowledge will be transferred covering all operational and technical aspects: sourcing, documentation, testers and fixtures, regulations, and acceptance procedures to meet Kornit’s quality standards.
  • Be responsible for the data and knowledge transfer from product execution through first prototype till final assimilation and ramp-up.
  • Build the right routines to ensure production transition is planned and executed to schedule, budget, and scope.
  • Leading to conduct quality audits and supplier’s qualifications for a wide range of products and suppliers.
  •  Manage, recognize, measure, and mitigate project risks. Able to take prudent decisions in real-time and escalate where necessary.
  • Manage the project budget, both open, and CAPEX
  • Responsible for data transparency using ERP/PLM between the two parties – keep on continuous and coherent production information flow
  • Build transition plans including production infrastructure, support models, change management, and sourcing strategy
  • Be responsible for coordinating implementation activities, providing effective team leadership, including information flow and technical supervision
  •  Identify necessary resources and align across multiple convey teams for assignment and management of individual tasks, in order to deliver the project on a budget and schedule
  • Manage a change control process with the chosen CM to track scope changes.
  • Keep continuous contact with local production/engineering to resolve any technical issues or gaps accoutered during and post-transition
  • Implement lean-manufacturing techniques as part of the transition such as 5S, Pull System with Kanban cards, and maintain a two-bin system in the staging area and assembly line.

What should you have?

  •  MBA or B.Sc / M.Sc in Mechanics / Electronics / industrial engineering
  • Proven managerial experience (at least 5 years) - a must
  • Experience with production process and overseas production migration – an advantage
  • Prior experience working with design teams on NPI programs
  •  Experience with multidisciplinary systems (digital printing) - an advantage
  •  Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Strong leadership skills, Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Ability to communicate complex matters in a simple, understandable formats
  • Self-motivated and eager to take responsibility and deliver results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbal and in writing
