Job description: System Engineer to develop instruments and methods related to optical systems, color management, mechanical instrumentation, and measurements validation.


Reports to: Systems Technical Lead

Location: Afek Industrial Park, Rosh Ha’ayin

What will you do?

  • Contribute to the development of the company’s systems and sub-systems (mechanics, pneumatic, electrical, electronics, control, software, chemistry, optics, etc.).
  • Work in a wide range of areas, innovate, and present work to Kornit’s management.
  • Act as a design authority for a complete system or subsystems or fields within it.
  • Translate product requirements and field issues into engineering requirements and corresponding architectures​
  • Evaluating alternative solutions, support development teams in a matrix structure (SW, mechanics, chemistry, electronics, etc).
  • Perform necessary calculations and simulations required for system development, manage technical risks​.
  • Setup integration and testing environments, develop and assembly of testing facilities and prototypes, and analyze results
  • Set guidelines to the verification and validation process
  • Lead root cause analysis processes


What should you have:

  • B.A/B.Sc in Applied Physics or related fields of engineering – a must
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer for multidisciplinary development - a must
  • Possess extensive hands-on experience in designing and conducting experiments – a must
  • Strong background and hands-on experience in one or more areas: camera technologies, image processing, computer-controlled experimentation – a must
  • Fluency in one or more computer programming languages (e.g., LabView, Python, Matlab, etc.,) – an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Master's in systems engineering – an advantage
  • Experience from a printing or capital equipment company – an advantage
