Technical Project Manager (m/f/d)

This is an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join this leading global software company enabling mass customization of products, on-demand production and dropship fulfilment. The Technical Project Manager will work with the professional services team for setting up and configuring systems for each client’s unique requirements. The role will require close collaboration with Sales ,Solutions Architects, Professional Services (Implementation Specialists), Development and Support teams to ensure all phases of the implementation are successfully delivered on time and in budget.

The successful candidate will be confident in leading customer project engagements and following best practice principles of software projects management to implement solutions for some of the world’s leading supplier and retailer organizations.

This role is a hybrid role in our office in SK10 2XR Macclesfield

Your impact:

  • From the project initiation, project kick off to completion, you are responsible as a project owner for solution design, plan approval and signage with the customer
  • Take overall ownership of solution implementation for assigned customer projects, ensuring with internal and external projects members/ sources timely and efficient communication to deliver to plan
  • Resolve any client queries, taking ownership through to resolution while working with other stake holders: professional services team, development, sales etc.
  • Coordinate the execution of acceptance testing, in concert with our customers to ensure successful implementation
  • Successfully onboard customers making sure we delivered upon commitment
  • Create and maintain Document Management processes for all client-facing documents, project plans, risk reports, scope of work (SoW) etc.
  • Ensure the quality delivery of all contract deliverables
  •  Actively manage issues, risks, and escalations for assigned projects


Your expertise:   

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in software implementation project management: managing timelines, milestones, dependencies, project plans, risks and commitments
  • Leading and planning technical software implementation engagements
  • Knowledge of APIs and experience of software integration
  • Leading implementation activities
  • Agile working practice, structured project management and communication
  • Managing customers’ expectations and managing customers’ conflicts etc.
  • Solid organizational skills including strong attention to details and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated expertise in producing high quality deliverables

  • Flexible and creative, innovative person with analytical, problem solving attitude, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong business acumen and passion about delivering great customer service
  • Able to quickly establish rapport and credibility and achieve trusted advisor status
  • At least 3 years of project/account management experience in high-tech industrial environments
  • At least 3 years’ experience working with large scale customers in Germany
  • Excellent oral, presentation, written communication and organizational skills
  • Fluency in English is a must, preferred proficiency in German, any other language will be considered a plus
