Technical Showroom Engineer (f/m/d)

We are looking for a motivated team player supporting our European Pre-Sales team by operating and maintaining our Experience Center in Düsseldorf, including all the systems installed.

As an Engineer you are responsible for the readiness of the Kornit solutions including printing system, curing unit, workflow, RIP, by taking care of all preventive/periodical maintenance procedures (daily, weekly, monthly and yearly), and being able to replace consumables and spare parts. Upon request you will be asked to support the customer success remote and field teams.

Your impact:

  • Regularly maintain the Kornit Experience Center, including printing systems, curing systems, line-side buffers, utilities systems (Compressed Air, HVAC, washing room and appliances, etc.), central storage and archives, on daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly base
  • Organize line-side storage, deal with logistics (inbound, intralogistics, outbound), keep track of usage and maintain documentation for garments, consumables, miscellaneous and uptime kits (UTKs) of all the systems, including utilities
  • First point of contact for the Pre-Sales team for the technical support on the machines
  • Diagnose, troubleshooting and resolving of the issues raised by Pre-Sales team to ensure the uptime of our printers
  • Follow up with the Pre- Sales team to ensure their systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
  • Monitoring of the daily performance of showroom systems including documentation   
  • Supporting the showroom Manager with all safety related requirements in the showroom
  • Upon request additional support in customer success remote and field service
  • Supporting on the in- house and external trade shows to ensure the smooth system running 

  Your expertise:   

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience, min. 3+ years as technical engineer in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology, preferably in the printing industry
  • Knowledge of digital printing industry such as industrial inkjet technology, RIP/colour management, materials, ink, chemicals, experience in textile printing would be helpful
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Fluent in German, English skills on a business level
